About Me

I grew up on a lake in rural Wisconsin and have always been passionate about 2 (somewhat contradictory) things, the great outdoors and electronics.  When I wasn’t out on the lake sailing, fishing or wakeboarding, I could be found at home rigging up a surround sound system in my bedroom, or stringing speaker wire through the trees in the backyard to get music out to our firepit.

While attending college in Milwaukee, WI I had an opportunity for an internship/job at a local home automation company and I gladly accepted.  I worked my way up from checking in boxes and cleaning out vans to occasionally helping out in the field.  After demonstrating an interest in the technical side I went through some training and became a system designer, and eventually programmer.  Having worked in all other facets of the industry I eventually moved into sales and project management to round out my knowledge.

I chose to take a hiatus from this work for a couple years after college and spent some time in a small beautiful part of Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan and working in the outdoor industry.  It was while living here that I decided to try out a season in Vail, CO to pursue my love of skiing.  Like many people here that 1 season turned into 8 years with no end in sight… Since moving here with my dog Layla I have lived in just about every neighborhood between East Vail to Avon. I finally settled down in Edwards with my wife, Jennifer, a son, Archer, and another dog, Wiley.

High Mountain Home Technology has been something I have wanted to start since moving to Vail.  It took a few years of saving up and a lot of preparation but I am excited to be able to offer my decade of experience in home technology as well as my passion for customer satisfaction and building long lasting relationships.

See you on the slopes, the river or the trail!
